Viola Pierce of Plano, Texas passed away December 3, 2013 at the age of 90. She was born October 30, 1923 to Willie D. Trojacek and Bessie (Jarolimek) Trojacek in Ennis, Texas. Viola served her country proudly in the United States Army during WWII. She married Minor Lawrence Pierce, Sr. on August 10, 1946 in El Paso, Texas.
Viola is survived by her children, Nancy Duvall and husband, William of Plano, Texas, Minor L. Pierce, Jr. also of Plano, Texas, Patti Brown and husband, Kelley of Mesa, Arizona, and Lori Slovak and husband, Tony of Murphy, Texas; sister, Linda Tyler of Dallas, Texas; grandchildren, Jennifer Brown, T.J. Slovak, and Jenna Slovak; great-grandson, Kaden Slovak; and a host of other loving family and friends.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Minor L. Pierce, Sr.; grandson, Bryce Brown, and brother, Bob Trojacek.

A graveside service will be held at 3:00 p.m., Saturday, December 7, 2013 at Ridgeview Memorial Park in Allen, Texas. Family and friends are invited to the funeral home at their convenience on Friday to pay their respects and to sign the register book.
