Viola Mae Aultman

Feb 24 1922 - Feb 10 2008

Viola Varga Moragne Aultman was born on February 24, 1922 in Del Rio, Texas to Paul Varga and Gladys Adele Hester. Most of her life she lived in Texas and called the Texas Hill Country her home. The past few years she made her home at the IHS at the Park nursing facility in Plano, where she died Sunday, February 10, 2008. In 1938 Viola married Jarvis Moragne in San Antonio, Texas and they had two daughters, Marilyn Moragne of Ballinger, Texas and Jean Hill of Plano. She married L.B. Aultman in 1964, becoming stepmother to his three children, Mike and Tony Aultman, and Angelique Aultman Gladney. L.B. preceded her in death in 1978. Viola was also preceded in death by her parents and one brother, Bill Varga of San Antonio. She is survived by her daughters, her stepchildren, brothers James Vernon and Bob Varga of California, an uncle, David Hester of Bakersfield, California, six grandchildren, ten great-grandchildren, one great-grandchild, as well as numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins. Viola will be lovingly remembered by many lifelong friends as a thoughtful, generous, fun-loving, and talented woman. She was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ Latter Day Saints in the last decade of her life, where she made many new friendships. Per Viola's wishes to have her ashes scattered on her beloved Guadalupe River in the Hill Country, there will be no service at this time. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Alzheimer's research or a charity of your choice.
