Vincent Samuel Leone passed away May 15, 2023, in McKinney, Texas at the age of 82. He was born to Frank S. and Mary (Noto) Leone on February 6, 1941, in Dunkirk, New York.
Vincent proudly served his country in the United States Navy from 1962 – 1965. He married his wife, Nora, on September 11, 1965, and retired from JC Penney after 32 years working in accounting and tele-marketing. Since his retirement, he and his wife lived in Florida and traveled to many countries. Once back in Texas, Vincent volunteered his time doing taxes for seniors and low-income families. He was an avid golfer, pool shark, genealogist, and loved to be near the ocean.
Vincent was a kind man who never met a stranger. He often said he had done everything on his bucket list including having a loving marriage, a family, and seeing the world. He is already dearly missed.
Vincent is survived by his daughter, Kara Leone of Dallas, Texas; daughter Brenda Shipley and her husband, Todd of Rowlett, Texas; grandchildren, Anna Leone and Christina Nicole Shipley; niece, Emily Leone; nephew, Frank John Leone, Jr.; and sister-in-law, Claudia Leone.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Nora Jane Leone, brother, Frank John Leone, Sr., and his parents, Frank and Mary Leone.
A memorial service will be held at 2:00 p.m., Friday, June 16, 2023 at Turrentine-Jackson-Morrow Funeral Home in Allen, Texas with a reception to be held following the service. The service will be livestreamed at TJMfuneral.com on https://celebrationoflife.tv/blog/vincent-samuel-leone. Inurnment will take place at Dallas-Fort Worth National Cemetery at 10:15 a.m., Friday, June 16, 2023.
Vincent and Nora were passionate supporters of St. Jude Children’s Hospital and donations may be given in his honor.
