Vilairate “Alice” Ariyapongse of McKinney, Texas passed away on September 17, 2019 at the age of 76. She was born on November 27, 1942 to Yu-Chen and Siu Suet (Tong) Chen in China. Alice married Bancha Ariyapongse on January 31, 1963 in Thailand. She worked in the travel and airline industry for over 40 years. Alice enjoyed cooking, sewing, shopping and spending quality time with her family, and especially her grandchildren.

She is survived by her sons, Christopher Young and wife, Marabel of Hawaii, and Anthony Young and fiance, Leila Jackman of McKinney, Texas; grandchildren, Christopher Young, Caitlin Young, Faith Young, Elizabeth Young, Noel Hahn, Kekoa Hahn, Isaiah Ingan-Hahn, Brandon Young, and Shayna Young; siblings, Lily Liau, Carol Gutierrez and husband, Danny, Arthur Chen, David Chen and wife, Connie, Howard Chen and wife, Mae Ling, Robert Chen and wife, Tina, and Andrew Chen and wife, Eileen; and numerous other loving family and friends.

Alice was preceded in death by her husband, Bancha Aryapongse and sister, Nancy Chen.

A funeral service will be held at 4:00 p.m., Sunday, September 22, 2019 at Turrentine-Jackson-Morrow Funeral Home in Allen, Texas. The family will receive friends during a visitation on Saturday evening from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at the funeral home.
