Victor Manuel Batres, Jr. of Sherman, Texas, passed away on June 15, 2025, at the age of 52. Born on September 30, 1972, in El Paso, Texas, Victor was a beloved son to Carmen Villa and the late Victor Manuel Batres, Sr.

Victor grew up in El Paso, where he graduated from Eastwood High School. He later pursued his passion for healthcare and earned an associate degree in Medical Laboratory Technology from Grayson College. For the past seven years, he worked diligently as a driver for Amazon, where he was known for his reliability and strong work ethic.

On June 17, 2017, Victor married the love of his life, Soledad Valdez, in McKinney, Texas. Together, they built a loving and blended family. A devoted Catholic, Victor was a member of St. Michael Catholic Church in McKinney, Texas.

Victor was a man of many interests and talents. He was a lifelong gamer who especially loved World of Warcraft, a dedicated fan of heavy metal music, and a true enthusiast of the Star Wars saga as well as the DC and Marvel universes. He was also exceptionally handy with cars and always willing to lend a hand when something needed fixing.

Victor is survived by his devoted wife, Soledad Batres of Sherman, Texas; his children: Alexia Katelyn Daveed (Lawrence Lee) of Roswell, New Mexico; Marissa L. Acosta (Christopher S.) of Houston, Texas; Vincent Kaleb Batres of Boyd, Texas; Maria Soledad Valdez-Noyola (Esteban Treviño) of Melissa, Texas; Gregorey Valdez-Noyola, Margarita Valdez-Noyola, Benjamin Noyola, and Refugio Valdez-Noyola, Jr., all of Sherman, Texas; grandchildren, Samuel Keanu Daveed, Juda Lukas Daveed, Faith Carrillo, Ricky Carrillo, Daniel Valdez, Hazel Valdez, and Leonardo Cristino Treviño. Victor is also survived by his mother, Carmen Villa of El Paso, Texas; his stepmother, Irma Batres; and his five siblings: Adriana Castillo, Victor Lee Batres, Julie Batres, Virginia Batres, and Yanel Batres; and a host of numerous other loving family and friends.

He was preceded in death by his father, Victor Manuel Batres, Sr., and his maternal grandparents, Salvador and Alicia Villa.

Victor will be remembered for his deep love for his family, his vibrant personality, and his unique passions that brought joy to everyone around him. His memory will continue to live on in the hearts of those who knew and loved him.

A funeral service will be held at 2:00 p.m., Friday, June 20, 2025 at Turrentine-Jackson-Morrow Funeral Home, 2525 Central Expressway North, Allen, Texas 75013.The service will also be live streamed at the following link:  https://celebrationoflife.tv/blog/victor-manuel-batres-jr.   Interment will be held at Ridgeview Memorial Park following the service.

The family will receive friends during a visitation on Thursday evening from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at the funeral home with rosary starting at 6:00 p.m.
