Vickie Diane Poucher, age 62, of Celina, Texas passed away on April 29, 2018 at home surrounded by her family. She was born on June 14, 1955 in Fort Campbell, Kentucky to Wilma A. (Ivery) and Gerald E. Howerton. On September 28, 1974, Vickie married Jessie Esmond Poucher in Live Oak, Florida. Vickie was a selfless, beautiful lady, a woman of faith and had a servant heart. She took care of about 100 foster children throughout her life. Vickie ran a Specialized Community Home for foster girls. She was an amazing mother, caring wife and a fighter throughout her illness.
Vickie is survived by her loving husband, Jessie Esmond Poucher of Celina, Texas; three daughters, Angela Dawn Yarbrough of Celina, Texas, Amanda Anna Stegall and her husband, James Lee of Sanger, Texas and Joyce Seat and her husband, Justin of Chickasha, Oklahoma; six grandchildren, Kaylan Nicole Yarbrough, Levi Montgomery Yarbrough, Jessi Danielle Yarbrough, Gavin Dewitt Stegall, Addlynn Seat and Addysen Seat; father, Gerald E. Howerton of College Grove, Tennessee; son-in-law, Tom Yarbrough; sister, Linda Baharloo of College Grove, Tennessee; two brothers, Tony Howerton and his spouse Rosie of Lewisburg, Tennessee and Jerry Wayne Howerton and his spouse, Nacneen of Chapel Hill, North Carolina; many nieces and nephews.
Vickie was preceded in death by her mother, Wilma A. Howerton, grandmothers, Elsie Jewel Howerton and Allie Ivery.
A Memorial Service will be held at Lifeway Church, 701 E. Pecan Street, Celina, Texas 75009, on Saturday, May 5, 2018 beginning at 2:00 PM.
