Vicki Irene Leavitt of McKinney, Texas passed away October 13, 2022 at the age of 65. She was born on March 6, 1957 to Paul Louis Alexakis and Elenor Elizabeth (Vess) Alexakis in Flint, Michigan. After school, Vicki started her working career and she eventually became a paralegal. Her experience led her to become a contract negotiator. In Los Angeles, California, Vicki met Douglas J. Leavitt, Jr. in 1992. They were married in 1995 and lived in California until 2005 when they relocated to Austin, Texas. Vicki and Doug then moved to North Texas to be closer to the grandkids. She was an incredible loving and caring woman who devoted herself fully to the aid and care of her family. Vicki took pride in always being able to care for her kids and grandkids. She was an avid reader and was known to finish a book in a day. Throughout all her trails and hardships, Vicki was a strong Christian woman. She was a devoted member of Chase Oaks Church in Plano, Texas. She most loved the Lord and her family, and they all look forward to the day they can all rejoice together in Heaven.
Vicki is survived by her beloved husband, Doug Leavitt, Jr. of McKinney, Texas; daughters, Lisa Marie Smith and husband, Shawn of Plano, Texas and Rachel Ann Ridderhof of Austin, Texas; grandchildren, David and Julianna, both of Plano, Texas; and a host of other loving family and friends that loved her deeply.
She was preceded in death by her son, David John Ridderhof and parents.
A graveside service will be held at 1:00 p.m., Saturday, October 22, 2022 at Ridgeview Memorial Park, 2525 Central Expressway North, Allen, Texas 75013.
