Vern Adams of McKinney, Texas passed away July 8, 2022 at the age of 86. He was born on November 27, 1935 to Earl Adams and Georgia Ethelene (Johnson) Adams in Collinsville, Texas. Vern married Mary Lou Sullivan on July 6, 1990 in Denton, Texas. He worked as V.P. for Harpool Seed Corp. In Denton, Texas. Vern then became a salesman for Ironite Products Company. He then worked at Home Depot at Custer and Virginia where he was the gardening expert.
Vern is survived by his wife, Mary Lou Adams of McKinney, Texas; son, Rick Adams of Denton, Texas; daughters, Dena Moore and husband, Richard of Corinth, Texas and Kelly Massey and husband, Tim of Lake Kiowa, Texas; grandchildren, Mandy Rausch, Derek Hilliard and Morgan Moore; great-grandchildren, Davlyn Hilliard, Dylan Hilliard, Zachary Rausch, Mallory Moore and Addison Moore; brother, Gerald Adams of Lake Kiowa, Texas; stepson, Ed Sullivan and wife, Anne; beloved pets, Angel, Charlie, Hiro and Maddie.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Earl and Georgia Adams.
A memorial service will be held at 11:00 a.m., Thursday, July 14, 2022 at Meador Funeral Home Chapel, 401 US Hwy 377, Whitesboro, Texas 76273.
