Mrs. Vermell Davenport (Mama Pat) Brannan, age 95, of McKinney, Texas, passed away July 11, 2006, in McKinney. She was born February 13, 1911, in Shreveport, Louisiana, to Claude C. and Alice (Lyon) Davenport. On November 9, 1933, she married Henry P. Brannan, Jr. in Shreveport. Mrs. Brannan was a homemaker and of the Baptist faith. She is survived by her daughter, Patricia Avery and husband, Bill of McKinney, Texas; grandsons, Bill Cox and wife, Wendy, and David Cox, all of McKinney, and Tim Cox and wife, Tisha of Dallas, Texas, and Bill Avery, Jr. and wife, Kim of Fort Worth, Texas; granddaughter, Michelle Bethard and husband, Jeff of Longview, Texas; and nine great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, and one sister. Funeral services will be held at 10:00 A.M., Friday, July 14, 2006, in the Turrentine-Jackson-Morrow Chapel with Rev.
