Vera Louallen of Plano, Texas passed away on July 28, 2019 at the age of 76. She was born on August 14, 1942 to Lester William and Bessie Marie (Hinton) Anderson in Dallas, Texas. She married Gene Everett Louallen on June 29, 1978 in Plano, Texas. Vera retired from Texas Instruments after 24 years. She then started a home daycare called Mrs. Vera’s Daycare from 2001-2019. She was of the Baptist faith. Vera was a devoted wife, mother, sister, grandmother and friend. Her favorite pasttimes were playing “the slots”, watching the Dallas Cowboys, and spending time with her family. She loved caring for “her babies” at her day care.
She is survived by her husband, Gene Louallen of Plano, Texas; children, Penny Palmer and husband, Tad of Fischer, Texas; Kiki Vann of Edmond, Oklahoma; Joey Hilliard and wife, Kimberly of Plano; Texas, and Marcia Mueller and husband, Keith of Richardson, Texas; Greg Louallen and wife, Margie of Plano, Texas; grandchildren, Robert Runnels and wife, Gina-Marie, Ryan Runnels, Max Palmer, Seth Palmer, Logan Palmer, Sydni Barnett, Keith Mueller and wife, Samantha, Misty Fenner and husband, Kyle, Hannah Louallen, and Sarah Louallen; great grandchildren, Lilah Fenner and Norah Mueller; sister, Jeannie Lee Clark of Dallas, Texas; and numerous other loving family and friends.
Vera was preceded in death by her parents, Lester and Bessie Anderson and sister, Mary Louise Matthis.
Grandma, no words can describe how much we miss you. We are grateful to God for blessing us with you and your love and selflessness. You were our angel on this earth. You will always be in our hearts. Till we meet again Gma – we love you.
A funeral service will be held at 2:00 p.m., Saturday, August 3, 2019 at Turrentine-Jackson-Morrow Funeral Home in Allen, Texas. Interment is to follow at Ridgeview Memorial Park in Allen, Texas. The family will receive friends during a visitation on Friday evening from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at the funeral home.
