Vera Dell Murray of Farmersville passed away September 22, 2023, at her residence.

She was born November 14, 1927, in Prescott, Arkansas to Anson Lee Crawford and Mary Lee Montgomery Crawford. She married G.C. (Pete) Murray Sept. 14, 1946, in Dallas. Vera was a very hard-working Homemaker who loved life and people. She was a member of the Trinity Baptist Church where she served many roles. Vera was very well known for her home-made hot rolls, quilts, pot scrubbers and especially her signature tablecloth.

Vera is survived by her children, sons James Crawford (Jimmy) Murray and wife Annagene and William Robert (Billy Bob) Murray and wife Tina, all of Farmersville; daughter  Jodi Hendon and husband Steve of Cedar Hill; one sister Katie Robertson and husband Dean of Bowie and one brother Thel Crawford and wife Jacque of Hurst; grandchildren Marcus Murray and wife Malorie of Nevada, Rachel Bird and husband Brett of Celeste, Brandon Sisson and wife Heather of Jacksboro, Kyle Murray and wife Amanda of Greenville, Dillon Burditt and wife Terra of Omaha, Nebraska, Dakota Burditt and wife Tristin of Ben Wheeler, Colin Hendon and wife Stephanie of Mabank; thirteen great-grandchildren and one great-great grandchild.

She was preceded in death by her husband G.C. (Pete) Murray; parents; one son, John Anson Murray; one sister Irma; four brothers Buck, Monte, Mervin, Troy and one grandson, William Justin Murray.

Funeral services will be held September 26, 2023, at 2:00pm at the Trinity Baptist Church in Farmersville with Rev. Brett Bird officiating with interment at the Nevada Cemetery in Nevada.

Visitation will be from 5-7:00 p.m. September 25th at the Hurst's Fielder Baker Funeral Home in Farmersville.

In lieu of flowers, the family welcomes donations to be made to the Trinity Baptist Church of Farmersville, Texas.
