I had the privlege, of working with Ms. Velma and Ms. Jimmie for several years at the old Wysong Hospital in McKinney. I'm so sorry to hear of her passing. She had so much valuable information and wisdom to offer young ones. One thing I know for sure is that she loved her family. She always talked about her children and grandchildren. Her face would light up as she talked about her family. Please accpet my sympathy. William York, December 3, 2012 Missing you! Tracy Sims-Washington, November 21, 2012 This woman was one of the best things that has ever happened to me, she spoiled me, and turned my bad days into incredible memories. On the days that she would pick me up from school were the best because i knew that she would have something funny to say that never failed to put a smile on my face. I will miss her alot, I already do, and I will never forget her. I love you Granny a.k.a my Leslie (: Brittany Muoneke, July 19, 2011 My mother-in-law, my 2nd mother, was a wonderful and beautiful woman. She was strong, loving, and would do anything for her children and I mean everything. When she came into my life it hadn't been long since my biological mother went home to be with the Lord. This strong woman of God took me in as her own, something I will never forget and loved me like I was her own. We laughed, consoled each other, and cried together like any mother and daughter would do and I miss you so much, but I know that you are here in spirit and you will live through each one of us. I was very blessed the day I became a part of this family and I wouldn't change one thing. I have two sisters that entered into my life and two more brothers and a wonderful husband. To Denise, John, Chris and my husband Brian this to shall pass. She is now resting in the comfort of our Lord and Savior. I know she is looking down on all of us, as long as we keep God first there is nothing that we can't get through. This is a tribute to my mother-in-law and my 2nd Mother I love you and I miss you. May his peace be with you until we meet again. Love always and forever Camesha. Camesha Bailey, July 16, 2011 To my lovely mother, best friend, mentor, and hero I commend you for being there from my childhood through my adult years. You taught me the values of life, love, respect, encouragement and inspired me to be the best that I can be. I thank you and I wil cherish all the memories that we shared together. God truly blessed me with a wonderful mother who was my idol. I Love You and miss you dearly and I long for the day when we will be reunited. God bless and rest your soul. You will always live in my heart, mind, and soul. God received an angel and a soldier in his line of duty and I thank you for making me the person and man that I am today. Love always and forever your son Brian. Brian Bailey, July 16, 2011 I couldn't have asked for a better Grandmother. You were always there for all of us, no matter the situation. I knew I could always look to you to brighten my day and depend on you for anything. Words cannot express how much you are missed, but I know you are in a better place. Nothing can fill the emptyness that comes from not being able to see you every day, but I know you will always be with us in memory and in our hearts, and watching over us from heaven. Thank you for all that you have done for us, and for helping me become the person that I am today. You will always be missed. Cedric Chidi Muoneke, July 16, 2011 My heart felt love to the family. i only found about Velma's passing today. We worked together many years at Wysong hospital.i am so sorry for your loss, know that she is with Jesus now and you will see her again. Reba Stephens Houghtlin, July 15, 2011 Aunt birthday twin....the chain is broken, but you are still in my heart. I remember your sweet smile, I remember your laugh, I remember you always giving me food....the Dr. Peppers, cakes, pies. There was so much love in your much willingness to give and care for others. In my 41 years of living I have never seen Mom cry or become as emotional as she has been because of your passing. She loved you and looked up to you more than you will ever know. Though our hearts are heavy, we take comfort in knowing you are no longer in pain. But we miss you tremendously! I slipped you a quarter....and you know why! I miss you Aunt Velma! Tracy Lynn Sims-Washington, July 14, 2011 Mom there are absolutely no words that will tell you how much I LOVE YOU and will miss you dearly. You were my rock. strenght, breath, heart, best friend, father, confidant, day, evening, night, guidance, counselor, sight, food, drink, and overall my source of life. From this I shall always charish what you taught me - how to be the person I am today. Until we meet again I shall do my best to be the best - just like my mom. Thank you and I Love You. You will be reunited with her again!! It is hard to loose someone we love, she was a loving, kindhearted, gentle yet strong woman. Love Rosa Rosa Roberts-Leatherwood, June 25, 2011 As a family friend for almost 20 years I've been blessed to witness a woman with a strong work ethic, passion for life and impeccable character. As The years passed I slowly realized that these character traits were all for the love and fierce loyalty Ms. Bailey had for her children, John,Denice,Brian and Chris. As well as extended family and friends of which I feel blessed to count myself. Were this extraordinary woman to find just HALF the love and understanding in the next life that she showed her dearest family during this one" her cup would runneth over," as I have no doubt it will. Thank you Ms. Bailey for your unconditional love and support, your loving friend, Tom.
