Happy Birthday Dad ...Cannot believe it is over 5 years that you are gone.... Missing you everyday even though you are still smiling in our hearts...09-13-2021 Nancy, September 13, 2021 We were saddened to hear about the passing of cousin Val. Great memories over the years. Happy times at the annual Swiech/Heiland pig roasts. Who can forget Val swinging by our house in Chicago and dropping off more ice cream than any kids could possibly hope for? Great smile, happy stories, and a wonderful family. All the best to Teresa, Steven and Nancy. The John Swiech Family (and Aunt Sally too!) John Swiech, August 8, 2016 It was an honor to get to know this man while he was a patient with our company. Jonathan Peugh, July 8, 2016 From the first time I met Val, I knew he was special. He had a twinkle in his eye and a contagious smile that just made me happy to be with him. He told the GREATEST “grandpa jokes”! For example: Do you know why you should wear gloves when you wash windows? So that you can’t feel the pain. (or is that “pane”…) I never got tired of talking to Val, even if he repeated old stories, because all his stories were full of joy. I look forward to talking with Val again in heaven – I have no doubt that he will have a twinkle in his eye and a contagious smile that will ALWAYS make us happy to be with him. Bill Kornfield, July 5, 2016 Terry, Nancy, Don, Steve, Cindy, Chris, Rebecca and Jenn, I have no words of wisdom; I can only stand beside you and be available through prayer, and friendship. Your Husband, Father, Grandfather, brought joy each time we saw him. His goofy big smile, his offbeat conversations, his jokes, his willingness and desire to chat. God created and designed him to know no strangers, to be a natural greeter/friend. When I heard he had accepted Jesus as his personal Savior I was delighted. Now there would be a Valentine in Heaven for Eternity; that goofy smile welcoming you in. When I found out that God had come and taken him to Heaven; my mind immediately pictured him tap dancing in a tuxedo and grinning from ear to ear: His toes no longer painful and his legs agile and quick. I stand beside you, in sorrow at his no longer being here. I stand beside you in joy because he made a choice for his future eternity. Jennie Kornfield

Steve and Toby Hopper, June 15, 2016 I would like to offer my condolences to the whole Ciesielski family. Valentine was a man loved by his family. I know every one selflessly spared their time to care for him in his elder years. I was certainly proud to be able to do what I could in my small way. Getting you all loge seats to a hockey game, getting you all something from our dessert cart, and seeing Steve and Valentine at the senior center warmed my heart. He is now a much younger man in heaven, no more pain or tears. Sure hope they have hockey in heaven for Valentine to watch!
