Una Van Hoozer, age 97, of Weston, Texas, passed away March 3, 2018 at home after a lengthy illness. Una was born February 6, 1921, in Anna, Texas, to Harvey and Lizzie (Ford) Estep. She married Donnie Van Hoozer on December 8, 1945, in Celina, Texas. Una was one of the founding members of the Weston Women’s Auxiliary and was active for many years. She considered herself a homemaker, but was employed for a time at Texas Instruments in Richardson, Texas.
She is survived by her son, Jimmy Van Hoozer of Weston, Texas; and sisters, Oleta Self of Dumas, Texas and Audrey Stembridge of Gilmer, Texas.
She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, and eight siblings.
