Tyler was born in Fort Worth, Texas on May 14, 1991 to Steve Russell and Donna Dominguez. He was raised in North Richland Hills, Texas where he graduated high school in 2009.

Tyler joined the United States Army in 2010. He served his country honorably through two deployments in Afghanistan and one deployment in Africa before leaving the military as a Staff Sergeant in April 2017. Tyler greatly influenced and touched the lives of many during his time of service. Tyler attended Eastern New Mexico University where he obtained his Associates degree. He was extremely dedicated, driven, and ambitious. After leaving the military, Tyler started his own company and worked every day to be successful in all aspects of his life.

Tyler married his best friend, Keannette Perkins, on June 9, 2018 in Lucas, Texas where they lived with their dogs Gunner and Lucy. Their love for adventure, the outdoors, and dancing gave Tyler and Keannette 6 amazing years of life together. Their travel and journeys together have left Keannette with a lifetime worth of memories to forever celebrate the time she was able to have with her husband.
