IN LOVING MEMORY

Trulia Jean George

Mar 30 1948 - Dec 30 2017

Trulia Jean George passed away in her sleep Saturday, December 30, 2017. She was preceded in death by her mother and brother. She is survived by her father and sister, two daughters, three nieces, three nephews and four grandchildren.

Trudy, as she was known to longtime friends and relatives, was a fierce, generous soul with an indomitable spirit who believed all people are worth love and redemption. Momma, as she was known to my sister and I, was a complicated, vivacious woman who loved her family, loved to dance, loved animals, and who often stood as a champion for those who could not champion themselves. Our mother was loved by her friends and had a wide and varied circle of friends from around the world. She never met a stranger, loved to listen and loved to participate. She was unable to volunteer physically, so gave what she could to various charities focused on children and animals and cared for her father as he needed.

Momma lived life her way and offered no apologies or explanations. She felt her life was a lesson and that all life is a lesson. The obstacles in the path aren’t obstacles, they are the path. She is no longer in pain, and no longer misunderstood. It has been my honor to write of this woman who was the architect of the morals and ethics my sister and I live by. Bye, Mom. I love you.

We will be having a visitation Wednesday January 3, 2018 from 6:00 – 8:00 pm at Hurst’s Fielder Baker Funeral Home at 107 N. Washington St, Farmersville, TX 75442. Graveside service will be Thursday, January 4, 2018 at 11:00 am at Pleasant Grove Cemetery on CR 2756.
