Troy Neal Queen passed away August 6, 2021 in McKinney, Texas at the age of 93. He was born on February 6, 1928 in Shoal Creek, North Carolina to Arthur and Clorinda Maude (Postell) Queen. Troy enrolled in the United States Navy, serving several years before transferring to the United States Air Force. He retired from the Air Force after 21 years of service. Troy was a member of the Anna United Methodist Church and the American Legion. He had many hobbies including chickens, fishing, and horses.
Troy is survived by his son Denny Farrimond and wife, Kathy of Winston-Salem, North Carolina; daughter, Deborah Stone and husband, Don of McKinney, Texas; grandchildren, Todd, Nichole, Matthew and Grant Farrimond, Aimee Peay, and Bradley Stone; great-grandchildren, Garrett, Owen, and Oaklynn Farrimond, Griffin, Gabby, and Grace Peay, Gavin Stone, and numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins.
He is preceded in death by his parents; wife Janie Queen, two brothers, and three sisters.
A funeral service will be held at 10:00 a.m., Wednesday, August 11, 2021 at Turrentine-Jackson-Morrow Funeral Home in Allen, Texas. After the service, the recorded live stream will be available for viewing at the same link location. The family will receive friends during a visitation from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m., Tuesday, August 10, 2021 at the funeral home. Interment will be held at Ridgeview Memorial Park in Allen, Texas following the funeral service.
