Troy Lee Cook of McKinney, Texas passed away June 19, 2021 at the age of 88. He was born on April 10, 1933 to Lynn M. Cook and Cora Faye (Thacker) Cook in Anna, Texas. Troy married Mamie Ruth Tadlock on August 24, 1956 in McKinney, Texas. Troy proudly served his country in the United States Army and served as an army cook in Korea. In his early years he worked at Central National Bank and later, he was an accountant for Foremost Dairies for over 30 years.
Troy is survived by his wife, Mamie Cook of McKinney, Texas; daughter, Gena Sandlin and husband, Mark of Allen, Texas; son, Troy Don Cook and wife, Cindy of Rowlett, Texas; granddaughter, Ginger Dawn Taylor and husband, Bret of Prosper, Texas; great grandchildren, Jenna and Tessa Taylor of Prosper, Texas; brother, Jacky L. Cook of Sadler, Texas; sister, Betty Cook of Culleoka, Texas; and several cousins, nephews, and nieces.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Lynn and Cora Faye Cook and his brother, Gene Cook.
A funeral service will be held at 10:00 a.m., Wednesday, June 23, 2021 at Turrentine-Jackson-Morrow Funeral Home Chapel in Allen, Texas. After the service, the recorded live stream will be available for viewing at the same link location. Interment will follow at Ridgeview Memorial Park. The family will receive friends during a visitation one hour prior to the service at the funeral home.
