Mr. Troy Rogers Lindsey, age 89, of McKinney, Texas, passed away April 25, 2005, in McKinney. He was born January 21, 1916, in McKinney, to John Roger and Delilah (Williams) Lindsey. He married Faye Freeman on March 31, 1935, in Durant, Oklahoma. He served in the U. S. Navy aboard the USS Houston during World War II as a radar man. Mr. Lindsey was a long distance truck driver. He is survived by his wife, Faye F. Lindsey of McKinney, Texas; son, John Lindsey and his wife, Sue and son, Rick Lindsey, all of McKinney; grandchildren, Joy Berry of Richardson, Texas, and Kay Nichols and husband, Steve, Troy Lindsey and wife, Lara, and Jennifer Lindsey, all of McKinney; great-grandchildren, John Nichols, Elizabeth Lindsey and Allison Lindsey. His parents, brothers, Orville Lindsey and Alvin Lindsey, and sister, Lucille O’Neil preceded him in death. A graveside service was held at 10:30 A.M., Wednesday, April 27, 2005, at Pecan Grove Cemetery with Chaplain Robert Scott and Mr. Lester Jefferson officiating.
