Tri Van Nguyen passed away on January 27, 2024, in Allen, Texas at the age of 80. He was born to Trai Van Nguyen and Huynh Thi Nguyen on December 23, 1943 in Saigon, Vietnam.
Tri served with honor as a member of the Air Force in Vietnam, displaying courage and patriotism for his homeland. On September 25, 1965, he married Trinh Kim Bo, and together they built a life filled with love and laughter.
For 14 years, Tri worked diligently as a Bookstore Clerk at Collin College, where he made lasting connections with colleagues and students alike. Outside of work, Tri was a faithful member of the St. Jude Catholic Church in Allen, Texas. He found solace and community in his faith. His spiritual journey was an integral part of his life, providing strength and guidance throughout the years.
Family meant everything to Tri, and he cherished every moment spent with his wife, children, and grandchildren. His legacy lives on through the love and values he instilled in each family member. He is survived by his wife Trinh Kim Bo; children, Lan Phuong Nguyen and husband Hieu Do, Thao Phuong Nguyen and husband Thin Le, Khanh Phuong Nguyen and husband Hoang Dinh, Dung Thanh Nguyen and wife, Crystal Nhan, Dung Phuong Bui and husband, Thomas Bui, Thuy Phuong Nguyen and husband, Tuan Nguyen, and Danh Thanh Nguyen and wife, Sonia Nguyen; 21 grandchildren, Christine Do, Alvin Do, William Do, Brian Le, Benjamin Le, Luke Dinh, Helen Dinh, Jacquelin Nguyen, Jasmine Nguyen, Morgan Do, Kevin Do, Charlie Do, Tiphanie Bui, Tina Bui, Tessa Bui, Teddy Bui, Joseph Nguyen, Jacob Nguyen, Jonah Nguyen, Ned Tri Nguyen and Nash Nguyen; siblings, Huong Thi Nguyen, Long Thanh Nguyen, An Thanh Nguyen, Ly Thi Nguyen, Minh Thanh Nguyen, and Nga Thi Thanh Nguyen.
Tri was preceded in death by his parents, Trai Van Nguyen, and Huynh Thi Nguyen.
The family will receive friends during a visitation on Friday, February 2, 2024, from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at Turrentine-Jackson-Morrow Funeral Home, 2525 Central Expressway North, Allen, Texas 75013.
A funeral service will be held at 1:30 p.m., Saturday, February 3, 2024, at St. Jude Catholic Church, 1515 North Greenville Avenue, Allen, Texas 75002.
