Dear Nan and Family, It is with great sadness that I learn of Tommy's passing. You have no idea what a great influence your husband and father were to me and where I am today. I first met Tommy when he was a Leader in our Boy Scout Troop, he was the one that got me the job there at Mrs. Baird's Bakeries some 35 years ago. I am still with the Company today and because of his love and concern for me, I have been able to raise two beautiful children and a wife who dearly loves me. We now live in Pennsylvania and I am working with our parent Company Grupo Bimbo out of Mexico City, Mexico. I will never forget what Tommy has done for me and like you I will miss him each and every day. God Bless each of you with a Peace that Passes all understanding, and lean upon his everlasting Grace, Peace and Love. With my Love, Greg Simmons Greg Simmons, June 14, 2016 To Nan and Family, My deepest sympathy on the passing of Tommy. It is difficult to know what to say to the family at the time of losing a loved one. Trust in the lord and treasure the memories that you have of Tommy's life, I know each of you have many, as I do from the days I spent with Tommy working at Mrs. Baird's Bakery in Dallas. Deepest sympathy from Eugene and Sherry Gibson Eugene Gibson, June 12, 2016 We are praying for all of you, Tommy was a great uncle to me - who could've asked for a better one. I inherited his love of motorcycles, and will always remember his toothpick hanging out of his mouth as he laughed out loud, and spoke simple words of wisdom to me as a child and young man. Remember Ecclesiastes 7:1-4 during this time - mourn well, but remember we will see him again! God bless all of you during this sad time, I'm praying his life is celebrated well with both tears and laughter at fond memories! Jason & Kim Guynes, June 12, 2016 Nan I thought a lot of Tom and he convinced me to return to teaching. He was a great influence Brenda Anderson, June 11, 2016 Dearest Nan and Cousins, I am missing Uncle Tom very much as I read about his passing. Yet I know he is with our Lord and Savior at this time. I know this last few weeks have been hard on all and yet I also know you all cherished the time you had with him. Know that my prayers and love are with you as you go through these next few days. Wish with all my heart that I could be there with you and for you. Uncle Tom was a one in a million kinda guy. He was always there when you needed him, he always put family first, and if he needed to "give you a talking to" he was good at it! But he always loved you, forgave you, and cared about you. In these later years his faith and walk with the Lord was wonderful to see and hear about. I know his witness has touched many. I love you Uncle Tom. I'll see you later!
