Mr. Tommy Lee Hickman passed away at the age of 82 in McKinney, Texas on Monday, January 1, 2024. He was born to Ollie Lee Hickman and Annis Evelyn (Fagala) Hickman in Farmersville, Texas on October 17,1941.

Tommy married Linda Von Gray on September 22, 1961, at Altoga Baptist Church.

He is survived by his wife, Linda Hickman, son Todd Lee Hickman and wife Lisa, daughter Lori Von Carr and husband Michael; Grandchildren: Levi Hickman, Mikayla Hickman, Elijah Hickman and wife Sarah, Caleb Hickman, Aliyah Hickman, Emmery Hickman, and Olivia Carr.

He is preceded in death by his parents Ollie and Annis Hickman.

Tommy grew up living in Farmersville. He was a Service Department Foreman for Bob Tedford Chevrolet in the early 1960s. He owned Hickman Refrigeration for 50+ years. Tommy served on the Farmersville Fire Department for many years and was known for driving the 1928 Southern pumper fire truck for the local parades. He was saved as a young child and was a member of Pleasant Grove Church for many years. Tommy loved gardening and could fix just about anything. Tommy and Linda celebrated 62 years of marriage last September.

A visitation will be held at Hurst’s Fielder-Baker Funeral Home from 5:00-7:30PM Wednesday, January 3, 2024. A Celebration of Life Service will be held at First Baptist Church in Farmersville at 11:00AM Thursday, January 4, 2024.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in memory of Tommy Hickman to the Farmersville Volunteer Fire Department.
