Thomas “Tommy” Arvin Campbell passed away at the age of 77 at his home surrounded by his loved ones on October 24, 2024, in Merit, Texas. He was born to Cecil A. Campbell and Fronia (Daniels) Campbell on May 6, 1947, in Cove, Arkansas.
Tommy is survived by his wife, Linda Campbell; daughter, Amber Dotts; son, Jerad Campbell; step-children, Bruce Turner, Shanda Armstrong, Sunny Cotton, Luke Cotton; grandchildren, Bailey Bethel, Ashleigh Read, Katelyn Dotts, Kelsi Dotts, Johannah Campbell, Savannah Campbell, Tristian Campbell, Cameron Turner, Corey Turner, Caleb Turner, Micah Edwards, Riley Rodriguez, Tyler Carpenter, Jessi Keith; great-grandchildren, Bentley Bethel, Hudson Bethel, Lincoln Bethel, Eleanor Read and Avery Read; brother, Clifford Campbell; and sisters, Linda Campbell, Sheila Campbell, and Donna Fore.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Cecil and Fronia Campbell; sister, Betty Gilbert; son-in-law, JD Dotts.
Tommy proudly served in the US Army from April 1968 – March 1970. He completed basic training in Ft Benning, GA; Officers Training in Ft Sill, OK before deploying to Vietnam.
Tommy was a vintage car enthusiast. He loved to restore old cars and enjoyed spending time going to car shows. In his younger years he loved to hunt and fish.
A remembrance gathering will be held on November 1, 2024, at Hurst's Fielder-Baker Funeral Home from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m.
