Mrs. Bothwell was a special lady. From first grade through our time together at the Presbyterian Church in Celina, she was a wonderful example of integrity. I’ll miss that little wink she would give me when we both agreed on a church matter. My sister, Leigh, sent me the following tribute from Mrs. Bothwell’s first grade classroom: "My feet are still. My hands are still. My head is down. My eyes are closed. This is my quiet time." ......just a pleasant memory. May she rest in eternal peace! Rex Glendenning, October 4, 2011 Sammie, You and your family are in our thoughts and prayers. We praise Him for the life of your mother and that she is now home in Glory with Him! In His Love, Your BSF Group Emrie Wilkes, October 2, 2011 Sammie & Family: What a loss! Tommie was one of my very special friends. I will always remember when the two of you showed up at the room I rented from Bess Parish during my senior year. I had undergone some minor surgery and Tommie felt I should be with my Mother in Denton and not alone. She was right! What a wonderful lady and friend! I shall always miss her Don Pipes, October 1, 2011 She was a special lady and a special teacher. Diane Parish Tolleson, September 29, 2011 Thinking of you and your family during this difficult time. Jana Meinzer, September 29, 2011 My love goes out to this family. I have always remembered my "first grade" teacher. She was so special and made each of we kids to feel special. The world has lost a "diamond". We love you, Sammy. Patricia (Vest) Fraze, September 29, 2011 I so much enjoyed teaching with Mrs. Bothwell at Celina Elementary. What a great role-model she was for me, a young teacher at that time. She was such a lovely lady and a wonderful, dedicated, inspiring teacher. She was so kind and soft-spoken. It was a great joy to know her. Brenda Lambert, September 28, 2011 There are no words adequate to describe how much this dear sweet lady means to generations of kiddoes in Celina. She was always the epitome of what the word Lady and school teacher means. I will always remember how much she nurtured and pushed each of us to achieve at such an important time in our lives. Thank you for sharing her with so many of us. Jane Willard Jane Cashon Willard, September 28, 2011 Sammie and family, Celina has lost a wonderful person.
