Tisha Katrina Ballard

February 22, 1973 - August 15, 2017

Tisha Katrina Ballard was born February 22, 1973 to Louise L Ballard and Willie L. Donson in Monroe, LA.  She accepted Christ at an early age and was baptized at the Spring Hill Baptist Church in Monroe, Louisiana under the leadership of Rev. C. R. Butcher. She worshiped and served as a member of the choir.

Tisha attended University of Louisiana at Monroe and later graduated as a licensed massage therapist after moving to Texas. She later became employed by Sprint, Wachovia and Bank of America Corporate, where she worked until she became seriously ill.

Tisha united with First Baptist Church of Hamilton Park under the leadership of Dr. J. Lee Foster. She served in the Music Ministry as a member of FBCHP Hand Bell’s Ministry.

Tisha leaves to cherish her memories one daughter, Tiphani K. Ballard and one God-daughter, Estella Brooks (Corey); her parents, Louise Moorehead (Lindsay), Willie Donson (Monroe, LA) and Godfather, Bobby Bradley (Monroe, LA); three sisters Chaun Hutcherson (Shawn) Shreveport, LA, Nickee Marles (Monroe, LA), Lindsay Moorehead (Houston), and five brothers; Darvin Ballard (Kayleesha), Bobby Ballard, DiMarico Ballard, Willie Donson, Jr. and Philick Lyons, Sr. (both of Monroe, LA): her maternal grandmother, Ivory Sherman (Monroe, LA) and a host of other siblings, nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles and cousins.

A funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m., Tuesday, August 22, 2017, at First Baptist Church Hamilton Park in Richardson, Texas.  Interment will follow at Ridgeview Memorial Park in Allen, Texas.  The family will receive friends during a visitation from 7:00 – 9:00 p.m., Monday evening at Turrentine-Jackson-Morrow Funeral Home in Allen.
