Tina (Cunningham) Beattie, age 61, of Frisco, Texas, passed away Sunday, July 10, 2022. She was born in Memphis, Tennessee, on January 1, 1961, to the late Willie Mitchell and Evelyn Cunningham who proceeded her in death. She accepted Jesus Christ as her Lord and Savior at a young age. She graduated from Manassas High School in 1979. Tina devoted 22 years of her time as a data entry clerk at the American Quarter Horse Association, where she retired. She married Ezra Arthur Beattie Sr. In Memphis, TN on April 19, 1982, and they were blessed with four children.
Tina loved shopping, watching HGTV, and movies on Netflix, Lifetime, and Hallmark. She loved to decorate and could take an empty room and transform it into something beautiful. She loved spending time with her grandchildren and had nicknames for every one of them. Family is who she loved the most. She would always go above and beyond to make sure every holiday was special. She was a wonderful wife, mother, nana, sister and friend. She was dearly loved and will be greatly missed by all those who knew her.
Tina is survived by her loving husband of 40 years, Ezra A. Beattie Sr., who she affectionately called “Bea”; her children, Valencia (Memphis), Ezra Jr. (Dallas), Krystina (Frisco) and Keshia (Dallas); her sisters, Betty Neal (Danny), Renea Thornton (Scott), Verla Davis (Pirree), Trushauna Morgan, Cierria Lewis, Charlotte Sharp (Isom), Valerie Eaton (Joe); sisters-in-law, Dr. Janie Dowdy-Dandridge (John) & Sharon McIntyer (Isaac); her brothers, Tony Murrell (Kiara), Issac Mitchell, Marquis Mitchell, Willie Tyrone Smith, and Anthony Mitchell; brothers-in-law, Samuel Beattie, TImothy Beattie & James Beattie (Deborah); one aunt, Mary Gates; and a huge host of grandchildren, nieces & nephews. She also leaves behind a special friend, Erma Jean Anderson.
She is preceded in death by her father-in-law/mother-in-law, Rev. Willie Beattie Sr. and Mrs. Ora Lee Beattie; her sisters, Sheena Townsend, Katherine Fuller, Christine McBride and NyTosha Cunningham-Jackson; her brothers, Jimmie Eason, Willie Mitchell Jr. and Wayne Mitchell; sister-in-law, Carolyn Beattie Rooks; and brothers-in-law, George Beattie and Willie Beattie Jr.
