Timothy Alan Wilson of Canyon Lake, Texas passed away on January 23, 2021 at the age of 41, just 8 days shy of his 42nd birthday. He was born on January 31, 1979, a frigid night with snow on the ground, to Benny and Charky (Graham) Wilson in Garland, Texas. He began heating things up quickly though with his blazing red hair, fearless adventurous spirit and overall love for life.
Tim was 1997 graduate of Garland Christian Academy. During his formative years he pursued baseball, the sport of his life. He won several championships including the Pony League City Championship where he went the distance for the win. He played in year-round leagues and traveled to play all over the country. He also coached many teams over the years, his favorite being Little League. As a teen, Tim was also a big fan of "The Legend of Zelda" disappearing into his room for days before finally emerging victorious! His youth days were also closely connected to First United Methodist Church of Garland where he was an active participant in the youth program. He gave his time serving on mission trips which held a very special meaning for him, helping others.
His college years were filed with baseball and more baseball, loving and living every minute. After graduating from Tarleton State University (on the 5-year plan) with a degree in Business and Spanish, he worked for Texas Contractors Supply, Butterfield Color and eventually landed at his career “home”, MTSI.
He felt the spirit of the sky sharing the beauty of the Redtail Hawk in its natural state, even if it was at the top of a 500-foot tower. His love of all things nature eventually led him to his home in the Texas Hill Country where he shared his home with deer, native birds and even an owl who loved hooting on his rooftop very early in the morning, and of course, his beloved giant lap dog, Leia.
Loving nature, living nature and being a part of nature was his joy. Tim never met a stranger and was a friend to all. His door was always open and his hospitality never ended. He carried his love for his friends, his family and His God in his heart and wore the same love on his sleeve, every day. Tim fought to the end and was still smiling and laughing until his final breath. There was no other like our TIMBO.
Tim is survived by his parents, Benny and Charky Wilson of Garland, Texas; sister, Tara McNaughton Hobbs and husband, Lance of Frisco, Texas; niece, Cana Heckadon Hobbs; aunt, Linda Graham of Royce City, Texas; uncle, Gary Wilson and wife, Lori of Richardson, Texas; and his whole MTSI family along with numerous cousins and extended family and friends who loved him dearly.
Timothy was preceded in death by his uncles and aunt, Richard Graham, and Tony and Janine Wilson; grandparents, Delbert Wilson and Elma Wilson whom he loved so very dearly, and Virginia Graham Williams and John Lee Graham.
