IN LOVING MEMORY

Timothy Prather

Mar 30 1964 - Oct 20 2022

Timothy James Prather was born on March 30, 1964 in Urbana, Illinois to Don Roger Prather and Beverly Jane Garven Prather. He passed away on October 20, 2022 at his home in Whitewright, Texas at the age of 58 years.

He was a long-time air conditioner repairman for several companies over the years. He worked hard, played hard and had few regrets.

He was full of life and loved to have fun making many friends along the way. He would go out to Lake Texoma and camp out on the islands, fish and fly the parasail from his boat. Hosting annual pig roasts was one of his favorite activities. People would come from miles away to enjoy good food, beer, and live music. He even put up a spotlight to keep the activities going on late into the night. That very spotlight lit up more than just his parties though. In his backyard he built monuments to his other favorite activities golf and racing cars. With a decommissioned firetruck he sculpted an imitation of a racetrack and planted painted wood to indicate distance for his golf hobby. He built his own deck for a pool as well, safe to say he loved his place and loved to build. Not to mention the chicken coops that housed so many different birds. Though I barely remember the birds, I will always remember the bouncy houses, birthdays around the pool, fourth of July fireworks battles, and all the moments between.

Dad, I will dearly miss you and I’m glad you knew in the end that everyone loves you.
I will miss you, and so will everyone you loved.

He is survived by his son, Jacob Prather of Whitewright; father, Don Prather, mother, Jane Prather, brother, Tom Prather and sister, Deanna Prather all of Florida; and Kelly Jackson of Bonham. He was preceded in death by brother, John Prather.

He was cremated as were his wishes.
