IN LOVING MEMORY

Timothy Dale Cooper

Jul 22 1975 - Apr 20 2018

Tim was born, July 22, 1975 in McKinney, TX to Anthony Dale and Deborah Hinton Cooper. He was raised in Farmersville and educated in the Farmersville Independent School District, graduating from Farmersville High School in 1993.

During his tenure at FHS, Tim was a member of the Farmersville Fightin' Farmers football team, which went to the 1991 Regional Quarterfinals his junior year. He was co-captain of the team his senior year and also played trombone in the Fightin' Farmer Marching Band all four years of high school under the leadership of Richard Holbrook. Tim was also an active member of the FHS chapter of the Future Farmers of America under the direction of Bud Weston and Charles Casada. While in high school and as an adult, Tim could often be seen working with his family at The Hinton Home, the nursing/retirement facility owned and operated by his family for decades.

During his late teens, Tim found in himself a great love for singing, playing guitar and performing country music in front of live audiences. He set a goal for himself of becoming a professional musician and, over the ensuing years accomplished many of his dreams. Only a week and a half before his death, Tim recorded a music video for distribution to all the major country music television networks. During his years working in the music industry, Tim played venues both large and small. He performed live at the famed Grand Ole Opry in Nashville; at Fort Worth's legendary honkytonk, Billy Bob's Texas; and also at Farmersville's Old Time Saturday celebration. Perhaps his best, and most moving performance was that of singing to his new bride during his own wedding reception.

Tim loved to touch people's lives through his music. He was moved to see the emotion on their faces, touched by the stories he heard from fans about what his music meant to them. Tim was a man of faith, a man who grew up in a Christian family learning his faith and honed it during his adult years with his wife and children. Tim is still touching people today and with his last act of self-sacrifice, organ donation. Many people were served, and some saved, by the donation of organs harvested by Southwest Transplant Alliance. His family is comforted by the knowledge that his final act was one that would have brought him so much peace and joy.

Tim Cooper was recently preceded in death by his father, Anthony Dale Cooper.

He is survived by his wife, Kristin Dickson Cooper; his mother, Deborah Hinton Cooper; his brother, Anthony Paul Cooper and wife Jill; all of Farmersville. He is also survived by his children; Shayna Cooper of Farmersville, Sydnee Cooper of Lubbock, Carson and Camden Cooper of Farmersville; and his nieces Hailey and Cheyenne Cooper.
