Thomas Otis Wilder

January 28, 1946 - April 16, 2021

Thomas Otis Wilder of McKinney, Texas passed away peacefully on April 16, 2021 at the young age of 75. He was born January 28, 1946 to Otis Vernie and Rachel Juanita (Wisdom) Wilder in Farmersville, Texas where he ultimately graduated High School.

Thomas owned and operated Wilder Sales and Services. He also served his community as a volunteer firefighter in McKinney, Texas. For many years Thomas’ spare time was filled refereeing basketball and coaching youth football. He was a proud member of the Dallas Arms Collectors Association. He served several terms as the Gun Show chairman. On vacations he could be found Jeeping the many mountain trails in Colorado. His favorite pastime was spending time with his family and many friends. Thomas was loved by many and never met a stranger.

Thomas is survived by his loving wife, Scharlotte Wilder of McKinney, Texas; son, Chris Wilder and wife, Jenn of Greenville, South Carolina; his grandchildren, Jackson Wilder, Caitlyn Wilder and Sydney Wilder; daughter, Lesa Kinsey and husband, Cody of Union Grove, Texas; son, Jason Chandler and wife, Desiree of Plano, Texas; his grandchildren, Amber Gentry and husband, Jerry Don, Taylor Adair and husband, C.J., Stephan Chandler, Kindle Chandler, and Matthew Kinsey; and great-grandchildren, Bella, Caiden and one on the way.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Otis and Juanita Wilder.

A Memorial Service will be held at 4:00 p.m., Saturday, April 24, 2021 at Turrentine-Jackson-Morrow Funeral Home, 2525 Central Expressway North, Allen, Texas 75013.

After the service, the recorded live stream will be available for viewing at the same link location.
