IN LOVING MEMORY

Thomas Wayne Brown

Jul 22 1968 - Nov 17 2023

Thomas “Tom” Wayne Brown received the keys to his mansion on a hilltop on November 17, 2023, in Plano, Texas at the age of 55. He was born to Rodney and Cynthia (Samuel) Brown on July 22, 1968, in Jacksonville, Texas.

Tom was a devoted and loving husband, father, and Opa to his wife, Tina, 7 children, and 4 grandchildren. He lived his life in service to others and was always there for anyone that needed him. He loved and served the Lord, and touched countless lives through his selflessness and generosity.

He enlisted in the Army in 1987 and was named the Distinguished Honor Graduate during AIT, received 4 Army Achievement Medals in his 4 years of service, and was honorably discharged as a Specialist in 1991. He was always proud of his time in the service and enjoyed talking about his days as a Radio System Expert. Tom worked in the radio industry for several years before being ordained and spending the next 16 years in ministry. He served as Pastor of Waterview Baptist Church in Richardson, Texas from 2002-2014. He earned his bachelor's degree from Western Governors University and worked IT security for Bank of America for the last 7 years.

Tom was a computer genius and handy in any area you could imagine. There was nothing he couldn’t fix. He enjoyed a variety of interests from watching or talking sports (hockey and football in particular), going on cruises with his wife, foreign cars, British television shows, gaming with his kids, and spending time with his grandkids.

Tom was preceded in death by his father, Rodney Brown; and uncle, Philip Moore.

Left to cherish his memory are his wife of 32 years, Tina Brown; children, Hannah Rodriguez and husband Andrew, Natalie Flores, Courtney Brown, Nathanael Wayne Brown and wife Grace, Thomas Wesley Brown and wife Sierra, Marcee Brown, and Bethany Brown; grandchildren, Carson, Griffin, Sullivan and McKinnon Rodriguez; mother, Cynthia Brown; aunt, Sylvia Moore; sisters Teresa France, Kimberly Brooks, and their families. He will also be profoundly missed by his extended family, friends, coworkers, and church family.
