IN LOVING MEMORY

Thomas Warren Harper

Nov 08 1946 - Sep 06 2017

Thomas Warren Harper, 70, passed away peacefully at his home in Celina, Texas on September 6th, 2017. Tom was born in Little Rock, Arkansas on November 8, 1946, and grew up in North Little Rock where he graduated from North Little Rock High School.

He excelled at art and humor from a young age. As master story teller, Tom used his facial expressions and unique voices to provoke extreme laughter from anyone near him.  His great personality and work ethic brought him success as a buyer for large department stores, as a manufacturer’s representative, and later as a real estate agent.  Those who knew him will retell the stories Tom shared, but we will never be able to master his sense of humor. He will be missed by his family, friends, and co-workers. He was a master woodcraftsman, making beautiful saddle stands and Adirondack chairs.  His passion for many years was fishing.

Tom leaves as his legacy, his loving and caring wife Vicki Dolfus Harper; two children, Matthew Harper of Celina; Holly Harper Davis (Hil) and twin granddaughters Lauren and Katlin Davis, all of Dallas;  grandchildren Anthony and Grayson Price of Celina; stepchildren, Tanya Peevy of Celina and Michael Peevy (Silvia Pena) of Dallas;  brother Charles L. Harper, Jr. and his wife Susan of Hot Springs, Arkansas;  sister Deb Harper Berkebile and her husband Karl of Euless, Texas; brother-in-law, Marty Dolfus and his wife Catherine of Junction; and many nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his father, Charles Leslie Harper, Sr. and his mother Freda Earl Harper. The family extends heartfelt thanks to Herrin Real Estate Co. for their compassion and support.

A Visitation will be Saturday, September 9, 2017 at 1:00 p.m. at the Turrentine-Jackson Funeral Home 109 S. Oklahoma Street, Celina, Texas 75009 with a memorial service following at 2:00 p.m.
