Thomas (Tom) Walker Moore, age 86, passed from this life to his eternal life in Heaven Monday, July 29, 2019. He was born October 25, 1932, to Jerry Frederick and Bessie Irene Moore of Prosper, Texas. He married Wanda Lee Vest December 9, 1950, and attended Prosper High School. He was a member of First Baptist Church Celina and served as a voluntary firefighter for the city. Tom was employed by C.O. (Chigger) Webster for many years and later employed by Celina School District for 35 years while supervising the maintenance department. He was a beloved husband, father, grandfather, great grandfather and friend to many.
He is survived by wife of 68 years, Wanda Moore; son, Terry Moore and wife Janie of Dodd City, Texas; son, Timmy Moore and wife Paula of Celina, Texas; daughter, Teresa Terry of Skiatook, Oklahoma; sister, Mariom Spaulding of Ponder, Texas; eight grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews as well as many friends.
Tom was preceded in death by his infant son, Michael Dale Moore; parents, Jerry and Bessie Moore; and two brothers and five sisters.
Funeral services will be held at 1:00 p.m. Saturday, August 3, 2019, at First Baptist Church Celina, with Rev. Kevin Lykins officiating. Preceding the service, visitation will be held at 12:00 p.m. in the church worship center. Interment will follow at Good Hope Cemetery.
