Thomas “Tommy” Riley Boneta of McKinney, Texas passed away October 9, 2022 at the age of 67. He was born on March 23, 1955 to Thomas Luis Boneta and Ruth LaVerne (Pace) Boneta in Albany, Kentucky. Tommy was raised in Muskogee, Oklahoma and a graduate of Muskogee High School. He attended several colleges before attending Okmulgee Tech where he earned his bachelor’s degree in HVAC. Tommy was also a proud member of Phi Kappa Alpha Fraternity. Following school, he worked in HVAC repair before going to work for Lennox International where he worked for over 20 years until his retirement. Tommy met Janet Sue Ross while in Muskogee and they were married on September 28, 1984. He enjoyed taking the boat out on the lake with Janet and having Sunday dinners with his mom. Tommy especially enjoyed music and his collection was a huge array of music that any listener could admire. He enjoyed showing off his skills on the grill making ribs, roast, burgers and more for family and friends. Tommy loved spending time with his kids and grandkids and support their many activities. He never met a stranger he could not engage in an interesting conversation. Tommy was a loving husband, father, grandfather, brother, uncle and friend. He will be missed dearly by those who knew and loved him.
Tommy is survived by his beloved wife of 38 years, Janet Boneta of McKinney, Texas; daughter, Julie Bannon of McKinney, Texas; grandchildren, Ariana, Kiaunda, Cameron, and Marquez; great-grandchild, Kehlani; sister, Jennifer Beaty and husband, David of Muskogee, Oklahoma; nephews, Richard Beaty and Kyle Beaty; and a host of other loving family and friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Thomas and Ruth Boneta; son-in-law, Christopher Brady; and brothers, Richard Boneta and Bingham Boneta.
A memorial service will be held at 10:00 a.m., Friday, October 14, 2022 at Turrentine-Jackson-Morrow Funeral Home, 2525 Central Expressway North, Allen, Texas 75013.
