Thomas Neal Patterson, age 65, of Frisco, Texas, passed away on December 4, 2020, in McKinney, Texas. He was born on January 10, 1955, in Vallejo, California to Ethel Joan (Petro) and Paul Rader Patterson. On May 27, 1994, Tom married Sarah Anne Hoffhaus in Houston, Texas. He most recently was working as a Professional Recovery Coach and Sober Companion, helping others stay sober and enjoy life. Tom was loved by everyone who met him and many considered him to be their second dad. We will never forget his kind words, his strong hugs, great laugh, and forgiving and understanding nature. Tom and Sarah loved the Appalachian area of North Carolina, as well as the Hill Country of Texas.
Tom is survived by his loving wife of 27 years, Sarah Patterson, of Frisco, Texas; two children, Catherine Bond and her husband, Richard, of Frisco, Texas, Maggie Neans and her husband, J.B., of Anchorage, Alaska; his five grandchildren, Grace, Savannah and Morgan Bond, Gus and Annie Neans; his niece, Ana Hampton and her husband, Dylan, of Crestview, Florida; his two nephews, Garrett Patterson and Nathan Patterson; two great-nephews, Michael Hampton and Fisher Hampton.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Ethel and Paul Patterson; and his brother, Greg Patterson.
Family and friends are invited to a Visitation at Turrentine-Jackson-Morrow Funeral Home, 8520 Main Street, Frisco, Texas, on Monday, December 7, 2020, at 11:00 a.m. A Funeral Service will begin at 12:00 p.m. Interment will follow at Cottage Hill Cemetery, 11400 FM 2478, Celina, Texas.
Flower donations are accepted or you may make a donation to Banner Elk SDA Church (their home church in North Carolina), Frosted Faces Foundation, or Peace and Paws (both are non-profit organizations for senior dogs).
