Thomas Felix Omane Buamah

Thomas Felix Omane Buamah of Sunnyvale, Texas passed away on May 9, 2018 at the Methodist Hospital in Richardson, Texas.  He was born on August 21, 1936 to Yaw Buamah and Ama Antwiwaa, both deceased, at Effiduase in Ghana. Thomas earned his PhD Degree from the University of Connecticut in 1973. He served as a Director at the Ministry of Agriculture, lectured at the School of Agriculture, University of Cape Coast and finally as an Industrialist starting a company with his friend Pro-Bio Laboratories in Accra, Ghana where he remained the managing director until his death.  Thomas was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church in Arlington, Texas.

Dr. Thomas Buamah, was preceded in death by his siblings, Kwadwo Baafi, Yaw Manu, Akua Praa and Abena Akyirem

He is survived by his wife, Victoria A. Buamah of Sunnyvale, Texas.  Thomas Felix Buamah also left behind five sons, Isaac Yaw Buamah (Evelyn), Isaac Kwaku Buamah (Susan), Leonard Yaw Buamah (Olivia), Thomas Felix Buamah and Chief Omane Buamah (Eunice); four daughters, Joan Buamah Asafo-Agyei (Stephen), Ivana Antwiwaa Buamah Boakye (Francis), Christine Buamah Aduboffour (Yaw) and Adwoa Serwaa Buamah Azanku (Krishna); twenty-two grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; other family members and friends.

The family will receive friends and well-wishers during a visitation on Friday, June 29, 2018 between the hours of 7:00 p.m. and 9:00 p.m. at Turrentine-Jackson-Morrow Funeral Home, 2525 Central Expressway North, Allen, Texas 75013.

A burial mass will be held at 10:00 a. m., Saturday, June 30, 2018 at St. Anthony Catholic Church, 404 N. Ballard Avenue, Wylie, Texas 75098.  Interment will take place at Ridgeview Memorial Park, 2525 Central Expressway North, Allen, Texas 75013 on Saturday June 30, 2018 after the burial mass.
