Thomas Ervin Jackson was born on March 14, 1946 in Sherman, Texas to Claude Ervin Jackson and Hazel Opal Maxwell Jackson. He passed away on March 26, 2022 in Plano, Texas at the age of 76.
Thomas grew up in McKinney where he attended schools. He enlisted in the U.S. Army on March 25, 1963. He received the Vietnam Service Medal, Sharpshooter Badge, Expert Badge (81MM Mortar), Expert Badge (Rifle M-14). He was Honorably Discharged on February 28, 1969.
He was the General Manager for McLendon Theaters and Drive-In Theaters in Texas. He enjoyed refinishing antiques, loved fishing and riding Harley-Davidson Motorcycles and enjoying retirement. He was a long-time member of the Baptist faith.
He is survived by his wife, Linda Jackson of Whitewright; sons, Thomas Jackson, Jr and wife Tracie of Garland, Mark Jackson of Whitewright; grandchildren, Christopher Jackson, Emma Richardson and Macie Jackson; host of other loving family and friends.
He is preceded in death by his parents; and son, David Claude Jackson.
Graveside Services will be held on 10:30am Thursday, April 14, 2022 at Dallas-Fort Worth National Cemetery, Dallas, Texas. A visitation will be held 6-8pm Wednesday, April 13, 2022 at Turrentine-Jackson-Morrow Funeral Home, Whitewright, Texas.
