Thomas Alfred Smith, age 80, of Celina, Texas, passed away September 26, 2022. Thomas was born October 20, 1941, in Tulare, California, to Warren G. and Donna Mae (Pierce) Smith. He married Margaret Lamar Duke on April 7, 1958, in Colorado Springs, Colorado. Thomas was an operating engineer in the construction industry.

He is survived by his wife, Margaret Smith of Celina, Texas; daughter, Suzi Monzingo and husband, Mike, also of Celina; son, Ken Smith and wife, Lindy of Trego, Montana; grandchildren, Jennifer Vann and husband, Charles, Ashley Smith, Brian Monzingo and wife, Sara, Tori Smith, and Savannah Smith; great-grandchildren, Kayleigh Vann, Annabeth Monzingo, and Kairo Smith; and sisters, Sandy Utterback and husband, Joe and Debra Dahl and husband, Jeff.
A funeral service will be held at 10:30 a.m., Wednesday, September 28, 2022, at Turrentine-Jackson-Morrow Funeral Home, 109 S. Oklahoma St., Celina, Texas, 75009. Interment will follow at Cottage Hill Cemetery in Celina, Texas. The family will receive friends during a visitation one hour prior to the service at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday at the funeral home.
