Therman Alvin James, age 83, of Farmersville, Texas went to be with the Lord on March 6th, 2023.
Therman and his twin Brother Herman were born on March 20th, 1939, in Tucumcari, New Mexico, to William Howard James and Velma Hunton. They grew up in House, New Mexico along with their older Brother, Marvin.
Therman graduated from House High School in 1958 and went on to complete his degree at Eastern New Mexico University. Therman enjoyed his career as an entrepreneur, owning several businesses including a Massey-Ferguson dealership, various restaurants and franchises as well as a construction company.
Therman’s first marriage to Bettye Morrow in 1960 blessed him with Daughter Rhonda James and Son Rodney James. Therman’s second marriage to Glenda D. James in 1981, added two additional Sons, Victor Cornuaud and Vincent Cornuaud. Their blended family has been blessed with 4 grandchildren and two great grandchildren.
Therman loved spending time in the mountains of New Mexico with his beloved wife Glenda, his extended family and friends, traveling, playing sports, gardening, swimming, reading, watching movies and relaxing at home.
Services will be held at Resthaven’s Abbey Chapel, 5740 19th St, Lubbock, TX 79407 on Monday, March 13th, 2023, at 1 p.m. with a visitation an hour prior to service. In lieu of flowers, feel free to donate to St. Jude’s Children’s Hospital or the charity of your choice.
