IN LOVING MEMORY

Terry Don Hartman

Jul 14 1960 - Mar 25 2025

Terry Don “Huck” Hartman, age 64, passed away March 25, 2025, in Plano, Texas.  He was born on July 14, 1960, in Durant, Oklahoma, to his loving parents James Earl Hartman and Barbara Mary (Bullen) Hartman.

Terry graduated high school from Garland, Texas, but before moving here was an All-State Soccer Player in Oklahoma. He then attended Richland College where he studied horticulture. Terry opened his own landscape/maintenance company “Natural Expressions Landscaping” in 1983. He owned that company until he retired in 2018. Loving natural landscapes and planning every plant with detail, it was easy to identify his customer’s yards. Terry was featured in several home garden magazines during his career. He loved fishing, being on the lake and the outdoors, and making every yard look as magnificent as he could. Terry was an amazing Dad. He served as a youth baseball and soccer coach, Cubmaster of the Anna Boy Scout Troop, and never missed a game, band concert, or event. Terry loved football and baseball. He was an avid Cowboys and Sooners fan and grew up rooting for the St. Louis Cardinals, although he later converted to a Rangers fan. He will be forever missed.

Terry is survived by his son, Zachary Hartman, of Anna, Texas; daughter, Summer Hartman, of McKinney, Texas; brothers, James “Jimmy” Hartman (Carol), of Murphy, Texas; Robert “Red” Hartman and Danny Hartman, both of Sand Springs, Oklahoma; sisters, Barbara Shockley (Frank) and Donna Hargis (Mike), both of Sand Springs, Oklahoma, and Linda Liggans (Terry), of Tulsa, Oklahoma; several nieces, nephews, extended family members, and friends, who will miss him dearly and fondly cherish his memory.

Terry was preceded in death by his parents, James and Barbara Hartman; brothers, Chester Hartman and David Hartman; sister, Carolyn Hartman; and the mother of his children, Sheryl Ann Hartman.

A funeral service will be held at 10:00 a.m., Friday, March 28, 2025, at Turrentine-Jackson-Morrow Funeral Chapel, 2525 Central Expressway North, Allen, Texas, 75013.
