Terri Lynn (Penton) Avila, a resident of Allen, Texas, passed away August 12, 2025, at the age of 61. She was born on November 10, 1963, to her loving parents, Huey Paul Penton and Caryl Lynn (Reiwerts) Penton in Lemoore, California. Terri grew up in California and graduated from Mt. Whitney High School in Visalia, California.
Terri met the love of her life, Thomas Avila, and they celebrated their love and commitment to each other on their wedding day, June 12, 1982, in Visalia. She became a full-time wife, mother, and homemaker who lovingly cared for her family.
While Terri enjoyed crafting and playing golf, her greatest happiness came from being with her children and grandchildren. She was a devoted matriarch who nurtured her family with unwavering love, creating a home filled with laughter, guidance, and heartfelt memories.
Terri is survived by her beloved husband, Thomas Avila, of Allen, Texas; daughters, Holly Lynn Hall and husband Kristopher, Heidi Maria Sewell and husband Travis, both of Allen, Texas, and Heather Noel Ellis and husband Ryan, of Comanche, Texas; grandchildren, Kamryn, Tinsley, June, Charlie, Pistol, Strant, and Sylee; brothers, Paul Penton and wife Maryanne, of Lemoore, California, Jeffrey Penton and wife Joanne, of Duncan, Oklahoma, and Timothy Penton and wife Kristen, of Visalia, California; and an extended group of nieces, nephews, and other family members and friends, who will miss her and cherish her memory.
Terri was preceded in death by her daughter, Tiffany Lynn Avila, and parents Huey and Caryl Penton.
