Teresa Gay Ferguson passed away February 12, 2024 at the age of 59 in Dallas, Texas. She was born February 22, 1964 in Beale Air Force Base, California to Zola Marie (Porter) Ferguson and Emery Frank Ferguson, Jr.
The family moved to Nashville, Tennessee in 1966 where Teresa spent most of her childhood, they then relocated to Greenville, Texas in 1980. Teresa graduated from Greenville High School in 1982 and went on to attend East Texas State University in Commerce, Texas where she received a bachelor’s degree in business. Teresa was a portrait photographer until 1996 when she began working for a communications company now known as Spok where she was employed for over 25 years.
Teresa loved each of her pets like family and also loved spending time with her human family. She took great delight in spending time with her new great-nephew, Benjamin. She enjoyed many hobbies over the years including photography, painting, knitting, music, cooking and gardening.
Teresa is survived by her sister, Lea Marlborough and nephew Matthew Marlborough of Wylie, Texas; her niece Megan Carey and husband, Travis Carey of Pearland, Texas and their son Benjamin; and several aunts, uncles, and cousins.
She was preceded in death by her parents; and her grandparents, Reva and Frank Ferguson, and Velma May and Elmer Porter.
A Celebration of life will be held 1:00 p.m. Saturday, March 23, 2024 at Twin Creeks Amenities Center 651 North Watters Road, Allen, Texas 75013.
