Tena “Tina” Moore of Leonard, Texas passed away October 9, 2024 at the age of 65. She was born to Weldon Lee and Martinette (Holland) Lawson on July 30, 1959 in McKinney, Texas.
Tena married Stephen “Steve” Moore on October 10, 1998, in Weston, Texas. She worked for 29 years at Honda Cars of McKinney, where she was known for her dedication and friendly nature.
Tena enjoyed riding horses and was an avid barrel racer. She loved spending time outdoors and was passionate about ranching.
Tena is survived by her husband, Stephen Moore of Leonard, Texas; sister, Terri Staton and husband, Greg of McKinney, Texas; mother-in-law, Cleta Moore; stepchildren, Sarah Johnson and David Moore and wife, Rebecca; and seven step grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Weldon Lee “Bud” and Martinette “Marty” Lawson; brother, Tony Joe Lawson; and grandparents, Walter and Lily Lawson and Pete and Bonnie Holland.
A funeral service will be held at 12:00 noon, Saturday, October 26, 2024 at Turrentine-Jackson-Morrow Funeral Home, 2525 Central Expressway North, Allen, Texas 75013. Following the service, a procession will make its way to Ridgeview Memorial Park for a committal service.
The family will receive friends during a visitation on Friday evening from 7:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m. at the funeral home.
