Taylor Michael James Hartley was born on December 10, 1989, in Dallas Texas and went to be with his Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on May 13, 2026, at the age of 36.
Taylor is survived by his loving parents, Karen and Michael Hartley of Allen, Texas; his sisters, Kristy Hartley Walters and her husband, Wayne Walters, of Mabank, Texas, and Marcy Bryant of Justin, Texas; his nieces, Elizabeth Jordan Morrison and her husband, Moses Morrison, Ava Walters, Amalie Walters, and Aliza Walters; his nephews, David Michael Bryant, Tony Bryant, Xander Bryant, and Aydan Hartley Walters; his aunts and uncles, Kim Hartley and Forrest Hartley, Frances and Paul Gilbert, Carol and Rick Markowski, and Sharon Owen; as well as many cousins and friends who will miss him dearly.
Taylor graduated from Allen High School in May of 2010.
Taylor was a member of Cottonwood Creek Baptist Church. He made a profession of faith in Jesus and was baptized in the faith by his Grandfather Larry Gilbert on October 27, 2002.
Taylor was diagnosed with Autism and Beckers Muscular Dystrophy in early childhood. He had a sweet gentle spirit and a love for music, Disney movies, boating and adventure. Taylor traveled to 31 states as well as Canada and Mexico. He flew a plane, parasailed, rode horses, rode gondolas and ski lifts. Taylor also caught fish and swam with the fishes as he called it. He greatly enjoyed pulling shenanigans with a sparkle in his eye and a huge, beautiful smile on his face.

Memorial services will be held at Cottonwood Creek Church Chapel on May 30, 2026, at 2:00 p.m. The address is 1015 Sam Rayburn Tollway, Allen, Texas 75013. Pastor John Mark Caton officiating.
