Taryn Myers of Murphy, Texas, passed away on September 9, 2026, at the age of 30. She was born on June 13, 1996, in Abilene, Texas, to Mike Myers and Leslie Sanders.
Taryn’s loving nature had a way of bringing warmth into any room she entered. She had an incredibly kind heart and cared deeply for people. The relationships she made throughout her life were important to her, and she loved her people fiercely. Taryn ensured everyone felt cared for and valued, whether you were her family, friend, or even a stranger.
Taryn had a special place in her heart for books that she inherited from her mother and a love of all music from her father. Other things that brought her joy included fandoms, cooking and recipes, animals, art, and tattoos. She had a unique way with words, a cheeky sense of humor, and wit that made her impossible to forget.
Whenever she discovered new music or anime series, her brother Taylor was one of the first she would share it with. Books held that connection with her sisters, Chelsea and Alexis. They would talk about what they were reading and exchange thoughts/recommendations. Taryn loved spending time with her friends and family. She never missed an opportunity to spoil her nephews, Ryder and Damien, whom she treasured dearly. Taryn had her own special way of connecting with everyone, investing herself in the things that excited the people she cared for.
Taryn will be remembered for the light she carried, the serenity she brought to those around her, and the love she shared freely. Though Taryn’s life was far too short, the memories she created and the relationships she had will continue to live on with the people who knew and loved her. She was a treasured and beloved daughter, sister, aunt, and friend, and her absence will be felt deeply by everyone fortunate enough to have known her.
Taryn is survived by her mother, Leslie Sanders of Murphy, Texas; her father, Mike Myers of Merkel, Texas; her sister, Chelsea Terry of Roby, Texas; her brother, Taylor Loftis of Murphy, Texas; her sister, Alexis Smith and her husband, Bradley, of Sweetwater, Texas; and her nephews, Ryder Terry of Roby, Texas, and Damien Smith of Sweetwater, Texas.
A memorial service honoring Taryn’s life will be held at Broadview Baptist, 2500 South 27th Street, Abilene, Texas 79605 on September 26, 2026, at 2:00 p.m.
