Tami Leighton, beloved wife, mother, grandmother, and friend, passed away on June 28, 2025, in the loving arms of her husband Ron, as he prayed over her.

She was born on September 20, 1959, to Rosemond and Bob Keller, Tami was a devoted Christian whose faith guided her throughout her life. She was married to Ron Leighton for 41 years, sharing a deep love and countless memories and adventures together.

She cherished her family deeply, especially her two daughters, Tenille Kennedy and Taylor Leighton; son-in-law, Caleb Fifita; and granddaughters, Sabrina and Tabitha Kennedy, who were the light of her life.

Tami’s life was full of passion and joy. From helicopter rides in Hawaii to rafting through the Grand Canyon, she was up for any adventure with Ron. She adored the ocean and the sun, especially when she was on a boat with Ron watching the pelicans, her favorite adventure in the world.

A woman of many interests and talents, Tami loved her church home group and Coffee House class, fashion (especially shoes), the sparkle of glitter and anything purple. She started every day with prayer and coffee watching the cardinals and hummingbirds in her yard. Her favorite time of year was gathering with family for Fourth of July and Thanksgiving celebrations.

In addition to being a wife, mom, and grandma, Tami cared for her many, many plants and was dedicated to her health through Pilates and her walks with Ron. Her baking was legendary, especially her fudge and pies, and she had a true gift for creating memorable moments with intention.

Professionally, she made a significant impact in IT Program and Portfolio Management, earning the respect and affection of her coworkers throughout her long career. A lifelong learner, Tami balanced work and family while putting herself through college. Later in life, she returned to school in her 50s to earn an MBA, embodying her commitment to growth and perseverance.
