Sylvia Lynn (Cantrell) Bashor, age 68, of Frisco, Texas, passed away Wednesday, November 16, 2022. She was born in Borger, Texas, on May 6, 1954, to Carmel Marilyn (Griffin) and Arthur Lee Cantrell. Sylvia attended college and had a successful career as the owner of her own accounting business. She was blessed with a wonderful daughter, son-in-law, and two grandchildren. Sylvia was a true servant of her Lord and Savior, and aimed to honor Him and bring more people into His Kingdom through sharing the gospel and the way she lived her life. She was passionate about worship, singing, and all things music. Her other joys were watching her nephews play the sports they loved, learning about American history, and loving on the people around her and showing them the love of Jesus. She was an awesome mother, grandmother, daughter, sister, aunt, and friend to many. She was dearly loved and will be greatly missed by all those who knew her.
Sylvia is survived by her daughter, Abigail Priestley and her husband, Joel, of Frisco; her grandchildren, Beckett Kirkley and Campbell Priestley; her sister, Deborah Hart and her husband, Charles; her niece, Nicole Cole and her husband, Brad; her nephew, Charles Hart and his wife, Bianca; and her great-nephews, Bradley Cole, William Cole, Carter Cole, and Charles Richard Hart.
She is preceded in death by her parents, William Douglas and Marilyn Douglas; and her brother, Darrell Douglas.
A Memorial Service will be held at Gateway Church, 7125 Legacy Drive, Frisco, Texas, officiated by Pastor Tom Lane, on December 2, 2022, at 10:00 a.m.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Sylvia's honor to Embrace Grace Inc., a ministry near and dear to her heart.
