Sybil Kay Steinmetz, age 71, of Murphy, Texas, passed away on October 25, 2016. She was born October 22, 1945, in Princeton, West Virginia to Bruce and Marguerite (Chambers) Repass.
She is survived by her children, Margie Goerlich of Flower Mound, Texas, Steven Steinmetz and wife Kristina of Allen, Texas; stepson, Sam Trent of Hurst, Texas; grandchildren, Dylan Goerlich, Haley Goerlich, and Cody Goerlich, all of Flower Mound, Texas, Hunter Trent of Hurst, Texas, and Michael Steinmetz of Allen, Texas; brother, Bruce Repass and wife Ashlyn of Dallas, Texas; niece, Yolanda Repass Miller of Farmersville, Texas, and many other loving family members and friends.
Sybil is preceded in death by her parents, Bruce and Marguerite Repass; brother, Tommy Repass; and nephew Bruce “Tyke” Repass III.
After thirty-three years of service with Southwestern Bell, she took early retirement. She enjoyed new passions in life such as golfing, fishing and occasional trips with friends. She loved her miniature pinscher, Schatzi, the Texas Rangers and was a lifelong Dallas Cowboys fan. What she enjoyed the most, however, was time with her children and grandchildren, who were the apple of her eye. She will be deeply missed by all who knew her.
A memorial service will be held at 2:00 p.m., Friday, November 4, 2016 at Turrentine-Jackson-Morrow Funeral Home in Allen, Texas, with Dr. Danny Buster officiating.
