Suzi Welch Shires, age 62, of Plano, Texas passed away on July 4, 2007 in Plano. She was born on July 29, 1944 to Harold and Alma (Ivey) Welch. Suzi graduated from Wichita Falls High School in 1962. She worked in the Health Care Industry and was a member of the Presbyterian Faith. Suzi loved to socialize and being at family gatherings. She is survived by her children, Stacy Newsom and husband Billy of Bridgeport, Texas, Amy Satar and husband Masud of Frisco, Texas; grandson, Justin Newsom; brother, Jack Welch and wife, Pat of Sallisaw, Oklahoma; close friend, Larry Shires; numerous nieces, nephews and a host of friends. She is preceded in death by her father, Harold Welch; mother, Alma Welsh; step-father, Mike Welsh and her mother and father-in-law, Katharyn and Arnold Shires. A Memorial Visitation will be held on Sunday evening from 6-8 PM at Turrentine-Jackson-Morrow Funeral Home in Frisco, Texas. A Memorial Service will be held at 1:30 PM on Monday, July 9, 2007 at First Presbyterian Church of Dallas with Rev. Bruce Buchanan and Pastor Rick Cooper officiating.
