Suzanna “Louise” (Peterson) Palm, a resident of McKinney, Texas, passed away September 3, 2026 at the age of 94. She was born on August 15, 1932, to her loving parents, Alvah Peterson and Eunice (Blakemore) Peterson in Brighton, Missouri.
Louise met the love of her life, Walter Earl Palm, and they celebrated their love and commitment to one another at Ferguson Baptist Church on March 14, 1959. Their life together was filled with love, family, and countless cherished memories.
Throughout her career, Louise worked as an administrative assistant in the aerospace industry. Outside of work, she found great joy in the simple pleasures of life and in sharing her talents with those around her. She loved canning and cooking and was a wonderful baker and talented painter. She enjoyed hosting friends and family, especially at their home on Smith Lake in Alabama. Her creativity and generous spirit brought warmth and happiness to those fortunate enough to know her.
Louise was also a faithful member of Baptist churches in all the places she lived, including First Baptist Church of McKinney, as her faith was an important part of her life. She will be remembered not only for the things she enjoyed, but for the love she gave so freely to her family and friends and for the special memories she created throughout her many years.
Louise is survived by her beloved husband, Walter Earl Palm of McKinney, Texas; son, Eric Palm and wife, Kathy of Tallahassee, Florida; daughter, Laura Beverly and husband, Harry of McKinney, Texas; daughter, Susan Palm of Tehachapi, California; grandchildren, Rebekah Palm, Kristen Beverly, Kyle Beverly and wife, Paige, and Joshua Palm; great grandchildren, Willow Jane Beverly, and Hattie Sue Beverly; and a host of extended family members and dear friends who will miss her dearly and forever cherish the memories they shared with her.
Suzanna was preceded in death by her parents, Alvah and Eunice Peterson, and her sisters, Patty Weaver, Jo Tolleson, and Christine Peterson.
Her life was a blessing to those who knew and loved her, and her memory will remain forever in the hearts of her family and friends.
A funeral service will be held at 10:00 a.m., Saturday, September 19, 2026, at Turrentine-Jackson-Morrow Chapel, 2525 Central Expressway North, Allen, Texas, 75013. The service will also be live streamed at the following link: celebrationoflife.tv/blog/suzanna-louise-palm. After the service, the recorded live stream will be available for viewing at the same link location. Interment will take place at 9:30 a.m., Monday, September 21, 2026, at Dallas-Fort Worth National Cemetery, 2000 Mountain Creek Parkway, Dallas, Texas 75211.
The family will receive guests during a visitation from 9:00 a.m. until 10:00 a.m. prior to the funeral service.
